In this chapter you look at the World movement towards free trade through the workings of the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
Free trade is of enormous benefit to individuals, yet it is also seen as being “unfair” trade for poorer countries who don’t have the same “marketing power” of the richer countries. However, as much as this is interesting to discuss, it won’t get you anywhere in your final examination. All we are concerned about here is the impact of Free Trade and Barriers to Trade on businesses. Sad but true!
