Task

  1. Identify and describe the factors affecting the international competitiveness of the following businesses:
    • Sportswear manufacturers such as Nike (E7)
    • Car manufacturers such as BMW (E7)
  2. A UK drinks manufacturer, whose product range is similar to that of Coca Cola, is considering entering a number of foreign markets. The manufacturer currently has a sales turnover £1.4m a year. Two countries under consideration are:
     
    • France
    • South Africa

    Using the following resources, explain how this company might best adapt its product range and marketing when entering each of the above markets (C5)
