The Grid

The A criteria for this unit are shown in the list below. As with all VCE units, these A criteria focus on your ability to use knowledge when evaluating situations or responses to problems - either your own solutions or those presented to you by the case study. If you are aiming for a B or A grade, then you will need to show mastery of some of these A criteria: in other words, show that you can evaluate situations, solutions to business problems and the actions of businesses and governments.

The A criteria require considerable mastery of the unit’s knowledge and you will have made excellent progress if you successfully tackle them.

• A1:
  evaluate the benefits and drawbacks to businesses of operating in specific markets
• A2:
  propose and give justifications for appropriate actions that businesses could take when faced with changes in market conditions
• A3:
  evaluate the effects of government policy on businesses and the responses of businesses to changes in policy
• A4:
  evaluate the impact of international competition on businesses and the effectiveness of their responses to changing conditions in international markets
